Terms & Conditions
Moorlands Summer Camps are operated by the Board of Moorlands Camps. The campsite is situated 7km from Mandeville on the Old Spur Tree Road in the cool and invigorating atmosphere of the hills of Manchester. The aim of the Camp is to have a balanced programme, which shows the relevance of Jesus Christ to today's young people. The Summer Camp Programme offers each child one week’s accommodation, food, transportation to and from Kingston, adventure activities and a Christian Character building curriculum.
I, as parent/legal guardianhereby give permission for my child/ward to engage in all Moorlands activities. My permission is granted with the understanding that there are inherent risks of injury associated with outdoor and ‘adventure’ activities. These risks include but are not limited to: falls from a height, exposure to severe weather, contact with potentially harmful plants or animals, and injury from collision with other people or objects during games and activities. I hereby acknowledge and accept the risk of possible injury to my above-mentioned child/ward while he/she is engaged at Moorlands, and give permission for my child/ward to be transported in a Moorlands
sourced vehicle for transportation as needed. I understand that Moorlands does provide limited accident insurance, but that this insurance coverage is secondary to any health insurance that is in place for my child. I therefore release and covenant with Moorlands that I will not, individually or as legal guardian of said camper, institute any action at law or in equity for any personal injuries, or injuries to property, real or personal, caused by or arising out of activities sponsored by Moorlands and its legal representatives. In addition, I authorize Moorlands
to use photographs taken at camp that may include my child/ward, in Moorlands publicity &/or the website. I understand that my child/ward may be sent home if he/she does not obey camp rules.
Registration must be completed online, through our website: www.moorlandscamp.com. Each child is granted a place at camp on a first come first serve basis once registration is complete. The following actions must be done in order for registration to be considered as complete:
1. A scanned copy of your child/ward’s proof of age (birth certificate/passport) must be uploaded to our website.
2. Full payment must be made online via credit card.
Moorlands Camp reserves the right to deny any child entry to camp if his/her submitted proof of age is suspected to have been tampered with.

- 18-22 Discipleship Camp: Registration Fee: $1500; Camp Fee:$16,500
- 9-12 Boys & Girls Camps: Registration Fee: $1,500; Camp Fee:$25,500
- All other Summer Camps: Registration Fee: $1,500; Camp Fee:$30,500

Refund and Cancellation policy
All registration fees are non-refundable. You may however receive a refund of the camp fee if your child/ward’s booking is cancelled in writing at least one month before the start date of the applicable camp. Such cancellation notifications may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. After this deadline, refunds will only be given if your child’s space is filled by another child on the wait list for that camp.
If the camp you have applied for is full you may opt to register your child on the wait list for that camp. If your child/ward is subsequently offered a space at the camp but refuses it, the camp fee will only be refunded if another child accepts that space. However, if your child/ward does not get placed at a camp, a full refund of the camp fee will be made.
Health & Medical Expenses
Your child will not be accepted to camp without a completed health form signed by a parent/guardian. All medication must be carefully labeled, with name and clear instructions for use, and must be handed to the camp medic. A trained medical officer is on-site for each camp. In addition a doctor is on call in case of medical emergencies. If medical expenses are incurred, these will be the responsibility of the parents or guardians.
Camp activities may include but are not limited to "adventure" activities, swimming, high ropes course, hiking, skateboarding, devotionals, talks and discussions, arts, crafts, and chores. All campers are encouraged to take part in all activities.
Lost & Found
Lost articles will be kept at our office for 1 week, then given to charity.
